Google and DeepMind face lawsuit over collection of NHS patient data
Alphabet’s Google and sister firm DeepMind are facing a class-action style lawsuit over the collection of over a million UK patients' health records without consent. The data was collected in 2015 as part of an effort to develop a patient monitoring app called Streams, developed alongside the London-based Royal Free NHS Trust. Google pulled the clinician support app last month.
