Indoor farming startup Rise Gardens nets $9m
Rise Gardens, a Chicago-based indoor hydroponic company, has raised $9m in Series A funding. Rise Gardens uses IoT to allow costumers to grow vegetables, microgreens and herbs indoors. Since launching in 2019, Rise has sold almost 100,000 plants, and its says it has saved 250,000 gallons of water and 2,000 pounds of food. The funding round was left by TELUS Ventures.
