Los Angeles pledges to become net-zero by 2035
The Los Angeles City Council has voted unanimously to transition to 100% clean energy by 2035. The decision falls in line with President Biden’s national goals and it comes a decade earlier than the city originally planned. As part of the plan, the city will replace its natural gas electricity generation with wind, solar and battery storage, while also improving energy efficiency and transmission.
