Shell bets on clean energy firm LanzaJet
Shell has invested in a company which has developed technology to turn alcohol into jet fuel. LanzaJet, which has also been backed by British Airways, is building its first "alcohol-to-jet" commercial facility in Georgia, U.S.. No numbers were attached to Shell's commitment, but it is understood that further investment is likely in the future as LanzaJet scales its operations.
